GPS-Based Monitoring System Operation
The FAA Technical Center managed GPS-Based Monitoring System (GMS) provides operators with the flexibility of conducting monitoring during regularly scheduled flights or special test flights in all geographic areas. The operational flexibility is provided by the GPS-Based Monitoring Unit (GMU). Trained specialists will set-up the GMU in a manner transparent to crew operations.
