CSSI Appoints Ivan Bekkers Vice President of Civil Aviation

Washington, DC – CSSI, a premier provider of technical, engineering, and management solutions, has appointed Ivan Bekkersto the position of vice president,Civil Aviation.

A senior executive with more than 25 years of experience, Bekkers will oversee and grow the company’s work with the Federal Aviation Administration, international flight authorities and the commercial aviation market.

Bekkers brings a unique mix of knowledge and experience to CSSI. An innovative thinker and proven strategist, he joins CSSI from NCompass Travel Group, a travel, technology and start-up consulting firm in Atlanta, Georgia, where he directed initiatives to improve and enhance the air-travel experience for the flying public.

Prior to that, Bekkers held positions of increasing responsibility at Travelport, United Airlines, American Airlines, and other companies, where he led successful efforts to increase sales and profitability while identifying business trends, new product initiatives and penetrating new markets. “Ivan has the knowledge and experience vital to helping the Civil Aviation division continue to excel and prosper,” said Cynthia Castillo, CSSI president and CEO. “His innovative insights and ability to think strategically will serve our customers and employees well.”

Bekkers holds a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp in Belgium, and an MBA/master of management degree from the J.L Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University
