Operational Concept Development

A Concept of Operations (ConOps) describes the vision for the operation of a system or system-of-systems. It provides conceptual insight from the user’s perspective, and ultimately is used to derive requirements for supporting services, systems, technologies, tools, and procedures. The ConOps provides definition and justification for a concept, and offers a clear methodology to realize the goals and objectives of the operation.

CSSI’s OA service provides researchers, stakeholders, and decision makers with a ConOps to assess the concept purpose and feasibility, and to understand how it will be implemented within an operational environment. Our Operational Concept development capability can provide customers with visualization and models of the ConOps, a current-state ConOps, and a future state-ConOps.
